Today was a very successful day, we passed our interview with Mrs. S where we each talked about the parts of an ROV and what that part contributes to the ROV. We even got to check out how an already built ROV moves! Each member of the team got to play with the ROV and get an idea of how it should look and function. Tomorrow we will get our supplies and start building our ROV!! I'm very excited for this project to become hands on.

Today I unfortunately had to leave early for a doctors appointment but I am very proud of my team for continuing to work hard! We started to create some ideas for the frame of and started learning about the safety for using tools to start building! Safety is always our #1 priority to make sure we all have a great time! Today was very helpful for brainstorming ideas of what our project is going to look like overall.

Hi everyone! Today was a very fun day, I watched the rest of the safety videos on wire cutting and soldering. I was able to practice stripping wires and practice soldering wires together. My team built a model frame and starting putting the motors together. I am also staying in class longer today to make up time from last class:) Next class I plan on putting together a practice control box with a peer to practice for the real thing later on. I am very proud of our team we were able to catch up a lot today!

Today I built a practice control panel with a peer and practiced soldering again to make sure I am an expert when I start the actual control box next class. We had to make sure that all the resistors and wires were soldered correctly otherwise the current wouldn't flow, luckily we did it right! Next class hopefully I will be able to get most of the control box done because we have to get our ROV in the water by FRIDAY!

Today was also a really good day. I got started on the actual control panel and made good progress. Some parts were hard, like sorting which pieces go where but I was able to figure it out. I hope by tomorrow I will either finish or be very close to finishing the whole control box.

Today I finished almost all of the control box. All I have left to do is connect the panel to the box and make sure it all works by testing it with a multimeter. Some parts of today were challenging too. Getting the extra switches off the panel was much harder than I thought! I ended up having to use pliers to get them off. I won't be in class tomorrow because I will be on a field trip so to make up that time I stayed after class today to get more done for my team.
