Today we were able to complete our interview and become acquainted with an ROV. We also added to our blog with more detail. Although we had difficulties starting our work and working as a group, we discussed and clarified some troubles.Next class we would like to start planning our frame and begin putting the motor together.

(I was absent last class because of my AP test, but my team filled me in.)

I worked on the frame today. I drew it out in many angles on paper just to make it more clear. I also went to the back and put the structure together based on my drawing, it seemed to be a good size. It was challenging for me to think of good claw ideas, my team was very busy so I didn't get any ideas from them. Next time I'll see what they think will work out best for our ROV. I want to start seeing how balanced our frame will be, so I'd like to finish our frame by the next class.

I finalized the frame today!! I talked to my group about the frame and they seemed to agree with the model. Next class I will work on the claw idea and think of attachment possibilities. My team worked with the motors and soldering. We struggled with taking the plastic off of the motors, but with a helping hand, we were able to take it off!

I cut the PVC pipes and completed the frame today!
5/18/17
I got to put our frame in the water! It took a really long time to figure out the buoyancy. I think I need to change the frame because having the motor not centered doesn't work. So next class I am going to finalize the frame.
